Ephraim Walker is a creative producer from Oakland, CA. After earning a BBA and an MBA from Howard University, Ephraim attended USC, where he began working on film projects with close friends Gerard McMurray and Ryan Coogler. After graduating with a joint JD/MFA, Ephraim worked with McMurray and Coogler to produce the Sundance Audience Award/Grand Jury Prize winning independent feature film FRUITVALE STATION.
Ephraim currently works as President of Production of 7th Ward Productions., He recently worked as Gerard McMurray’s Creative Associate on BURNING SANDS and THE FIRST PURGE.
Ephraim is an avid social activist. He started his career as an Attorney with the Legendary Civil Rights Lawyer John L. Burris in Oakland. After the release of Fruitvale Station, he was a founding member of the social justice organization BLACKOUT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS along with Ryan Coogler, Michael B. Jordan, Donald Glover, Ava Duvernay and others. He still consults with his civil rights firm and frequently produces social justice content for outlets like CNN, The Atlantic, Revolt TV, HBO,National Geographic,The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle and other prominent media outlets
