About

AfroComicCon

AfroComicCon is an annual comic convention to promote and empower diverse artists in the arts, media, and entertainment industry.  There is a large under-representation of Blacks, Latinos, and Asians in the art and media entertainment and AfroComicCon seeks to promote and empower these diverse artists by providing a platform and venue for them to share their artwork with the community.

Mini Film Festival

AFCC Mini Film Fest is a division of AfroComicCon and our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, featuring contemporary, interactive works of art showcasing the work of creators and filmmakers of all colors, while focusing on women and POC.

AfroComicCon

Our third annual event, AfroComicCon 2018, will take place on October 18-20, 2019 at the SAE Expressions College in Emeryville, CA. The inaugural event in 2017 was a huge success, drawing more than 300 community members.

Youth Community Day

AfroComicCon  provides refreshments, costumes for children, workshops, and promotional material.  Your company will be recognized as partners in the production of a creative space for artists of color to present their work to the community.

FOR OUR SPONSORS

Your sponsorship allows us to provide outreach to the community, sign on experts and professionals of color in the art and media industry to present at the event, and cover event materials like name tags, banners, and brochures.
