Our events provide a supportive climate for our multifaceted, art, tech-media, learning, and networking experience that showcases the talents of underrepresented groups such as professionals of color, and women. 

Mini Film Festival

The AFCC Mini Film Festival is a showcase of innovative animations, from talented animators and filmmakers gathered to showcase their work. AFCC Mini Film Fest is a division of AfroComicCon and our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that features contemporary, interactive works of art showcasing the work of creators and filmmakers of all colors, with a special focused on women and POC.

AfroComicCon is positive and inclusive, unlike the mainstream cons which have been known to be places of exclusion for certain groups. The reward for attendees, especially for children, comes through experiencing images, and stories featuring characters that they can identify with. This can have a positive effect on their future success in school  and careers.
