Bio

My name is Kuresse Bolds. I am a freelance illustrator and graphic designer who works with digital mediums to explore editorial, conceptual, and sequential art. My character driven work aims to breathe life and personality into fictional beings while marrying identity with art.

By illustrating people in multiple facets, it counteracts societal norms. It brings forth a sense of visibility, inclusion, and resonance. Being a black artist who uses a vivid range of colors, I aim to reclaim the space where artists of color can just “BE” and express themselves without the added stress of trying to pertain to one aesthetic.

I am currently Boston-based with my BFA in Illustration from the College of Art and Design at Lesley University.
